On a visit at Italian cave rescue

Past weekend (1.-4. october) twelve members of Slovenian cave rescue participated in Italian cave rescue exercise. It all happened in cave Abisso Rolo that is a part of a bigger (30km) system Gortani on Italian side of Kanin. The rescue started at depth -740, 2km from entrance.

First teams of Italian cave rescuers went in cave on thursday night. The stretcher took off friday forenoon and surfaced on sunday at nine in the morning.

Slovenian rescuers joined third and fourth team and helped from -370m to the surface. Two members of our caving club went there: Marjan and Matjaž.
