Cleaning of "Jama pod Krasom"
As a part of European project Carst Underground Protection members of DZRJ Luka Čeč have cleaned cave "Jama pod Krasom". The project includes six caves. Majekavc, Golobnica, Pokčeva jama, Marnošnova jama and Jama pod Krasom are in the water zone of Rižana and were cleaned to preserve clean water reserves. Šimenkovo brezno on the other hand was cleaned to restore the original state and renew cave life. Participants of the cleaning of Jama pod Krasom were Janko, David, Urška, Rajko, Ivo Matjaž and also the leader of cleaning project Mitja Prelovšek.
Miina jama
V nedeljo 6.2.2011 smo obiskali jamo za katero smo mislili, da je že registrirana. Že na začetku smo podvomili, da gre za registrirano jamo, saj bi morala biti locirana drugje. Ko smo se spustili se je izkazalo, da ne gre za registrirano jamo z zgrešeno pozicijo pač pa da smo našli novo jamo. Krstili smo jo "Miina jama"
Expedition to Albania 2010
Summer cave expeditions are becoming tradition. Past years we were exploring the Prokletije plateau and last year for the first time members of DZRJ Luka Čeč went to Northern Albanian Alps (Alb. Bjeshket e Nemuna) together with members of Commissione Grotte Eugenio Boegan a caving club from Trieste. There are many unexplored caves left in the Hekurave Mountains and we focused on three major caves (Shpella e Zeze, Shpella e Mark, Shpella e Boshit). The expedition started on 13th and ended on 29th August and despite loosy organization we managed to explore and document more than kilometer of new cave shafts and galleries.
The opening of caver bivouac
It's been almost a year and a half since first initiative to erect a cavers bivouac. Exactly a year after works have started the bivouac was ready for opening. Cavers weren't the only one participating in opening there were also representative of town Bovec, representative of mountain rescue center Bovec and representative of URSZR. All in all there were 23 of us up there. Helicopter spared us of crying some equipment. After the ceremony there was some work needed to be done (helipad, "terrace" at the doorstep, lightning rod and a few details. There was also a first activity - a descent in abyss Rene.
Through Bojanova cave to Predjama 2010
On the anniversary of the discovery of connection between Bojanova cave and cave under Predjama Castle, we organized a picnic or caving sports day where it was possible to visit the Lenčkova cave or hike through Bojanova cave to Predjama. All together there were 26 cavers and they came from Sežana, Velenje, Ljubljana, Trieste and other caving clubs. To the following picnic came even more guests.
Tabor na snežniku
Jamarsko društvo Rakek vsako leto za prvomajske praznike organizira raziskovalni tabor na Mašunu in tudi letošnje leto ni bilo izjema. Na taboru sva jih obiskala Izidor in Matjaž.Do tabora sva prišla prepozno, saj so Rakovčani že odšli na teren. Teren sva nato raziskovala sama. Naslednji dan smo šli skupaj preverit nekaj jam, ki so bile vpisane še pod Italijo.
Let's clean Slovenia 2010
Sathurday 17.4. was a day of nationwide activity called "Očistimo Slovenijo" (Let's clean Slovenia) and members of DZRJ Luka Čeč participated as well. We removed a car trailer of waste. Judging by the condition of waste they've been lying there for quite some time and it appears that there wasn't any new income in past few years. Luckily there were also no hazardous materials amongst waste just glass, cans, tires and household waste.
