Abyss Hudi vršič
Past weekend explorations were going on in abyss Hudi Vršič. Mršek, Klanfa and Ana went up there on Friday evening. It took them seven hours to arrive to the cave and at three in the morning they finally left the surface. Marjan, Jokl and Matjaž gatherred in Bovec on Sathurday morning took the sky lift to Prevala and descended in the cave at four in the afternoon
Dihalniki na Ravbarkomandi
V Nedeljo 22.1.2017 smo se Franjo, Vid, Matej in Marjan odpravili pregledovat področje nad Pivko jamo, kjer bi bili možni dihalniki. Najprej smo se odpravili na del, kjer pride pritočni rov in tam našli nekaj dihalnikov, najbolj obetaven se nahajo točno nad jamo, natančneje nad Sebatovim rovom. Drugo območje, ki smo ga pregledali pa je bila okolica severnega dela vojaškega skladišča, kjer je prav tako majhen pritočni rov imenovan Severni pol. Na žalost na tem delu nismo našli nič.
Another caving day
It's been a while since we last had so much to do with new cavers. This can only be good for our club. Past sunday we were again started trainig cavers to be indoors and then went to Lenčkova cave.
Second caving day
Three weeks ago we started a caving course. Now it was time to take next step and try rope techniques in a cave. With two participants we first practiced indoors and then took of for Lenčkova cave.
First time on rope in a cave can be very tedious.
Caving day
Once again with KŠOPP we organised a day introduction to caving or as we called it KŠOPPs Caving Day. We started with presentation followed by practicing rope technique and ended it with a visit of Predjama cave.
Cave Hudi Vršič
Considering the potential of abyss Hudi Vršič it should get more of our attention. It was about time we went in again. We took advantage of prolonged weekend for new explorations and survey. Five of us were destined for the cave while Marko Kavčič and Nina Cof brought some equipment up the hill. Unfortunately I had a bad neck ache and decided to go back to the valley. Four cavers went in: Aleš Štrukelj Klanfa, Bogomir Remškar Božo, Andrej Kristan Jokl and Matjaž Božič.
Caving exams
It was last weekend in summer and spring Poltarice in Gradiček was where caving exams took place. After morning shat and coffee candidates wrote theoretical exam while instructors manned their posts.
Non-governmental organizations fair
As usual there was a Non-governmental organizations fair on last day of Zmaj ma mlade festival. This time around we decided to do more than just sit behind the stand and so we put up a rope an a tree for visitors to try climbing techniques. Since that was time consuming we then just lift up and down small kids. The queue was faster but still full until we closed at nine pm.
